WHAT: In 'Light of darkness' Nussinov paintings explore the relationship between light, movement, form and obstruction. The synergy and frictions between forces, revealed or obstructed, in between layers, figures reaching out, trying to escape, having encounters with creatures, taking off as floating furies. A few installations will be displayed in the Garden of the gallery. One of them, is a whimsical three legged figure, made mainly from assembled recycled material: a white paint bucket, copper electric wires, light fixtures, strips of curtain, wood, speaker, and circular plastic sheet. To give the piece an organic feel, Nussinov sculpted with Plaster of Paris, cotton bands and tissue papers. Connected to a speaker and lights within its guts, the audience can see its features lit up from within, and hear what it has to say, and Micha's own original composition coming from within.
